New Delhi | February 2025 – A new chapter in Delhi’s political landscape has begun as Rekha Gupta officially took oath as the Chief Minister of the national capital. With this, she became Delhi’s fourth woman CM, following in the footsteps of leaders like Sushma Swaraj, Sheila Dikshit, and Atishi. Alongside her, six cabinet ministers also took the oath, marking the beginning of a fresh leadership era.

1. Pravesh Verma – Minister of Home & Urban Development
Constituency: New Delhi
Pravesh Verma, son of former Delhi CM Sahib Singh Verma, is known for his strong grassroots connection. He defeated AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal in a high-stakes contest. As the new Home and Urban Development Minister, his role will be critical in tackling Delhi’s crime rates, urban planning, and municipal governance.
2. Ashish Sood – Minister of Education & Transport
Constituency: Janakpuri
A veteran BJP leader and former South Delhi Municipal Corporation leader, Ashish Sood has been an influential name in the party. His focus will be on revamping Delhi’s education system, modernizing transport infrastructure, and addressing last-mile connectivity issues for commuters.
3. Manjinder Singh Sirsa – Minister of Minority Affairs & Tourism
Constituency: Rajouri Garden
A prominent Sikh leader and former Akali Dal member, Sirsa joined BJP in 2021 and quickly rose in ranks. His new role as Minority Affairs & Tourism Minister will see him working towards cultural heritage preservation, Sikh welfare programs, and boosting Delhi’s tourism industry.
4. Ravindra Indraraj Singh – Minister of Social Justice & Labour
Constituency: Bawana
As the only Dalit minister in the cabinet, Singh holds a significant portfolio overseeing welfare programs for marginalized communities, labor rights, and housing schemes for the underprivileged. His victory over AAP’s Jai Bhagwan Upkar by 31,400 votes showcased strong support from his constituency.
5. Kapil Mishra – Minister of Water Resources & Environment
Constituency: Karawal Nagar
A familiar name in Delhi politics, Kapil Mishra previously served as Water Minister in the AAP government before switching to BJP. He will now handle Delhi’s water crisis, pollution control measures, and Yamuna river cleaning projects. His experience in this domain makes him a key figure in tackling Delhi’s environmental concerns.
6. Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh – Minister of Health & Family Welfare
Constituency: Vikaspuri
A dentist by profession, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh is a new face in the cabinet. His key priorities will include strengthening Delhi’s public healthcare system, reducing patient load in government hospitals, and improving medical infrastructure in the state.
